Centering Black Youth to Redefine & Measure School Safety

Abstract

The School Community, Culture, and Climate (S3C) Special Interest Group is excited to announce that we will be hosting a webinar, featuring our 2023 recipient of the Outstanding Dissertation in the Field of School Climate Award, Dr. Elianny C. Edwards. Dr. Edwards is currently an assistant professor of critical and decolonial psychology at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts, where she directs the Housing & Educational Equity Lab (HEEL at Holy Cross). Her presentation is entitled “Centering Black Youth to Redefine & Measure School Safety” and you can read more about her work in this article published in Leadership and Policy in Schools.
